---- — Broadway nudity

Will someone please remove the rear-facing, naked mannequin from the window of the out-of-business dollar store on Broadway in Haverhill? The children and staff returning to St. Joseph School this fall should not have to look at it each day.

Thumb on the scales

I have never been more disgusted with the justice system in this country. Now it has been revealed that Eric Holder and the Department of Justice used taxpayers’ money to instigate racial strife in Sanford, Fla., to try to convince us that George Zimmerman is a racist. I am outraged that our government would stoop so low as to potentially cause unrest and riots and endanger people’s lives just to get what it wants, to convict Zimmerman, even though all the evidence now proves otherwise. This country under President Obama and Eric Holder has become totally pathetic, and the Obama administration continues to disgrace our great country by using these deplorable and unconstitutional tactics.

The law on noise

To “Ssshhh”: You claim there is a noise law that takes effect between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.

I hate to tell you, but you are incorrect. I’ve already been through this myself, and was told by the police that there is no time frame for this ordinance. If noise, loud music or whatever is reaching a neighbor’s home and is annoying that household, then it’s too loud and you’re in violation, PERIOD. You could also be subject to a $200 fine. I’ve tried to talk with my neighbors several times, but apparently they don’t want to listen, so now I let the police handle it. After they have been to the problem site a few times, then the fines will follow. So everyone, start calling the police, so they’ll have it on record so just maybe the rest of us can finally have some peace in our own homes. In my neighborhood, being nice doesn’t work.

Methuen madness

Citizens of Methuen, the City Council is saving you, the taxpayers, money, by giving up a $325,000 grant to save a $73,000 salary. That’s right, let’s model the Health Department after Lawrence’s. Maybe we should bring a state fiscal overseer and receiver, too, to oversee the Methuen City Council “creative economics.”

Name game

Government officials really need to do something about all these people using multiple aliases. It seems like it’s a daily occurrence to read of people with numerous identities arrested for various activities. Just how many of them are gaming the system to abuse government assistance programs, commit voter fraud or provide cover for criminal activities. Maybe the Tribune can start the ball rolling by doing an investigation into this.
