Letter: Breakfast program provifes good food, fun

The Eagle-Tribune

---- — To the editor:

With summer in full swing and fall schedules soon to return, the Georgetown Council on Aging wishes to thank Crosby’s Marketplace for its continued support and sponsorship of the COA’s monthly men’s breakfast program.

The continued sponsorship has allowed the program to grow, with additional participants joining the program each month.

In the past fiscal year, the program served a total of 176 men, a trend that has continued for several years.

Along with a nutritious, home-cooked breakfast, the program offers participants an important opportunity to socialize.

Speakers are planned each month, and topics include health and wellness, Medicare, retirement, current events, town government, home and personal safety, and local history.

In the spirit of community, the sponsorship of the breakfast program by Crosby’s has supported the COA in its goal to continue a meaningful program that has a real and positive impact on our participants.

We invite men in our community to join us for breakfast on the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at the Trestle Way Community Building.

Extra servings of fun and good company are sure to be on hand!
