To the editor:
I support Mike Sullivan in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. I believe Mike Sullivan has the credentials and the experience to be an excellent senator.
Mike Sullivan has a long history of protecting the taxpayer; he was elected a state representative as part of the 1990s revolution on Beacon Hill that lowered taxes, reduced state spending, and decreased regulation on small business. In Washington, Mike Sullivan will do the same; he will fight to protect our tax dollars and rein in out-of-control spending.
Mike Sullivan has also served as Plymouth County district attorney, as United States attorney for Massachusetts, and as acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
As U.S. attorney for Massachusetts, Mike Sullivan was instrumental in prosecuting and convicting several corrupt politicians and has been involved in the war on terror. Mike prosecuted and convicted the “shoe bomber,” Richard Reid, who attempted to blow up a trans-Atlantic flight from London.
He also prosecuted illegal aliens who used false and stolen identities to obtain jobs at Massport, and who were working in sensitive security areas of Logan Airport.
Mike understands that protecting our national security begins right here, by securing our own borders.
Mike has the experience we need in Washington; he will fight for taxpayers and he knows how to keep our country strong and our citizens safe.
I am voting for Mike Sullivan on Tuesday, April 30, and I ask you to please do the same.
