To the editor:
To arms, to arms, the sequestration is coming! The Republicans refused to raise the taxes on the wealthy and business and we will be deprived of our rights. Sounds more like government tyranny than democracy.
While the answer is slapping us in the face, the angry mob that voted last November, out of jealousy and greed, destroyed what was left of democracy and the principles this country was founded on.
Franklin D. Roosevelt failed to implement his “New Deal” when many of his ideals were deemed unconstitutional. After two decades of indoctrinated education, Lyndon B. Johnson started the “Great Society” and started those very same unconstitutional programs.
In 2008, an unknown individual named Barack Obama, ran for president, promising “hope and change.” After winning the office, proceeded to become the most incompetent and irresponsible president this country has ever experienced, creating a deficit of more than $1.5 trillion every year in office, making in his first term the largest debt created by any president, in only four years. The Democrats stood there and blamed Bush.
In 2008, President Obama, stated “capitalism is a failure” and now in 2013, the “sequestration” proves progressive liberal policies are the real failure. We have a massive government filled with corruption, and such oppressive taxation that 47 percent of the victims need tax breaks to survive the financial devastation of government.
The Declaration of Independence promised the American people they would be free from the dictatorship of government and its oppressive taxation, that the people would have the right to “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.”
So after decades of failed education, generations of poor parenting, here we are. The government can no longer afford to pay for our rights. Millions have paid the ultimate price, their lives, protecting our “freedom and independence” and it only took a half -century of progressive liberalism to destroy it. We have become a spoiled and irresponsible society, that refuses to be accountable for our own lives. We are a society, as proven last November, filled with greed and jealousy.
Don’t blame the politicians, they voted exactly what the people elected them to do. You can blame the education system for lying about the purpose of our government. You can even blame poor parenting for spoiling their children instead of encouraging them to be “free and independent.” But the ultimate blame goes on “we the people.”
We failed to prevent that massive government. We failed to protect our freedom and rights. The United States Constitution does not demand government “provide” us with our rights. It demands that government “protect” our rights given to us by our Creator.
On a side note: It was in 1967, the “Great Society” challenged the people’s rights to “keep and bear arms.” Claiming that only the militia had such rights. Once again, the Supreme Court ruled the people indeed have the right to “keep and bear arms.” So their attempts to create more control is a diversionary tactic to ban firearms from the people — the last obstruction to their government tyranny.
