To use the word “vagrants” in connection to the homeless, as you repeatedly did in referring to the homeless in connection with the GAR Park improvements in Haverhill, was cruel and uncalled for. Not all people who rely on homeless shelters are bums, alcoholics or vagrants. Some are just like you and I -- just a paycheck away from being homeless. Some have lost jobs, some have used up public assistance such as unemployment benefits, some are just plain down on their luck. Not all are vagrants. The repeated use of the word shows a total lack of understanding of the problem and a lack of compassion.
Has anybody in the government really thought through the release of Bowe Bergdahl? The Taliban got back their “dream team” guys who can now go back to killing and maiming Americans, and they got rid of a deserter whom they could never trust. If he betrayed us, he could just as easily betray them! And how nice that they have sent him back to the U.S., perhaps to get to work on some local terrorism. He’s a perfect candidate for this and he’s had five years to learn everything they had to teach him about bombs and creating disasters. Another case of Americans coming in last when represented by President Obama and John Kerry. Time to rethink who we send to Washington, folks!
We are starting to see the terrible consequences of Obama’s foolish and politically cynical decision to trade five terrorists for Sgt. Bergdahl. The Taliban are now saying they will try to kidnap more U.S. soldiers to get ransom money. Former Marine Col. Ollie North is reporting that the Obama administration paid a $5 million to $6 million ransom for Bergdahl. We now know that at least six and possibly eight soldiers died looking for Bergdahl, who deserted his Army unit. What is also sad is that Obama has again broken the law. So we have a criminal in the White House and a traitor and deserter being hailed as a hero by the Democratic leadership. We have become a nation run by spineless politicians who care more about their party than their country.
