Prison sex-change

His name is Robert Kosilek, not Michelle. He was a man yesterday, is a man today and will still be a man tomorrow. Cut his hair, wipe the lipstick off his lips, remove the earrings and throw him in general prison population. End of story — no taxpayer money wasted.

Weird country

Our beloved country has become more weird in the last 40 to 50 years than anytime in its history. We have in jail a murderer who is asking to be able to change his name and even worse one who’s asking for an expensive sex change. Because there is no death penalty, these two pieces of human scum have a roof over their heads, three meals a day and hospitalization if they need it at a cost of about $50,000 a year. Meanwhile, our young men and women are fighting and dying in the four corners of the world. Is that strange or what.

Recently at Stop & Shop in Methuen, I was putting items back to watch my budget. The woman in line behind me told the cashier to give the items to me and she would pay for them. God bless this generous stranger as not only did she do a kind act, but also renewed my faith that there are still some good people in the world. My family thanks you very much for your generosity and you were in our Thanksgiving prayers. Not only did you provide food but you granted faith.

So much has been made of Benghazi but all forget that Bush ignored several warnings that bin Laden planned to attack America. It’s sad to have lost four people in Libya but minor compared to Sept. 11, 2001. And to go after Susan Rice when Colin Powell misled America with the contrived message by intelligence at the United Nations is beyond reason.
