Sound Off

Chemical attacks

During the Vietnam War, our country waged chemical war attacks on the civilian population using napalm. We also have the dubious distinction to have used nuclear weapons on civilians twice. You know what they say about people (or leaders) who live in glass houses. I say leave the issues in Syria to be settled by the Syrian populace.

Need the truth

Let’s us all be realistic. Obama and his entire administration has lied to the American people from his first day in office. From Benghazi to Snowden. So why would anyone in their right mind believe him about Syria. There is more and more evidence coming forward that the rebels used the chemical weapons. We have been deceived and lied to enough already by Obama so let’s get the real truth before any action. Unfortunately, expecting Obama and his administration to be truthful is asking for the impossible.

No butts

I walk in the West Lowell Ave area and have never seen 50,000 cigarette butts or any mess for that matter. Furthermore West Lowell Avenue and Route 110 run parallel to one another and therefore do not meet.

Politics

Concerning Obamacare, Nancy Pelosi told Congress that we have to pass the bill to see what’s in it. Now she says we should bomb Syria to see what will happen. Don’t you just love liberal politics?

No war

As I watched in horror the planes crashing into the towers on 9/11, I am just as horrified that our president is asking for a war to help these people who masterminded this. This is not right-wing rhetoric. These are facts and are horrific! Wake up and look at what is being done to our country. We are in no shape to do anything. Our military is demoralized, we are broke and can’t pay our bills, and half of our nation is on welfare and living off of the people who work. We are weak and vulnerable and can’t even help ourselves. Anyone who votes for this new war should spend their money on it and send in their loved ones.
