To the editor:
We, the voters of Massachusetts, have an opportunity to stop the Obama administration and the Democrat Congress from pursuing their objective to radically transform the United States of America. We can do this by electing Scott Brown to the United States Senate to break the 60-vote, filibuster-proof majority of the Democratic Party.
Scott Brown will be a voice for fiscal discipline and responsible health care reform. He will vote against the proposed cap-and-trade bill thereby saving us higher energy costs. He will not vote to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. Brown, a conservative Republican, will work to reverse the bailout mentality of this administration and ease credit restrictions to small businesses so that real job creation can ensue.
The last thing we need is to send another liberal Democrat to the U.S. Senate who will blindly follow this administration and other Democrats in Congress, and who will not listen to those they represent. When 50 percent to 60 percent of Americans are against the Democrat health care bills and people are growing increasingly skeptical of the efficacy of the stimulus bill as the unemployment rate is at 10 percent, it is time to send a person to Congress who will do what is best for Massachusetts and the United States of America. Scott Brown is that person.
