Letter: Thanks for supporting my campaign

The Eagle-Tribune

---- — To the editor:

First, thank you for to those who stood up for working families. I very much appreciate the support you gave me during the recent Haverhill City Council election.

It deeply saddens me to have worked so hard at something I am so passionate about -- the city I call home. I am a person of passion and commitment and know that I would have done a good job for the citizens of Haverhill. I know the voters have spoken and I will continue trying to earn their trust and confidence.

I also thank the people of my campaign committee including Tim Coco, Tim Groves, Mark Kitter and Jeremy Groves; my fiancee Joyce Whipple Gamble her children Kayla and Jayden Gamble; my nephews and nieces Monica Mancini, Bianca Mancini, Allie Simmons, Vanessa Simmons, William Wilder and Andrew Runge; my brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Diane Simmons; my sister and brother-in-law Sally and Patrick Mancini; his mother Joanne Mancini, step father Greg Destafano and mother Annette Belfiore; the Masys family -- Joseph, Andrea, Jake, Ethan and Aunt Patricia; and the many friends I have including Brian Dempsey, his wife Julie and family, and the Kinser family. My apologies to the many more I cannot list because of space.

I also thank the social clubs to which I belong including Haverhill Ridge Runners and Post 4 American Legion; Sara’s Place; Kelly’s Bar in Bradford; and my SEIU 888 union brothers and sisters, Haverhill custodians, cafeteria workers and Haverhill transportation.

Thank you all, especially the citizens of Haverhill.

Fred Simmons
