Letter: Much needs fixing in America today

To the editor:

Energy independence is not on the Obama agenda as they continue doing everything they can to stop most domestic drilling and coal production in America. Already overburdened, our middle class taxpayers are not only losing jobs in that huge industry now but all Americans are paying more for this presidential inaction in Washington, which results in higher gasoline prices, electric costs, food distribution costs, lost jobs, harsh mandates, and more national debt.

Added to this inflationary cost is the raid on Medicare by Obamacare, $716 billion transferred to pay for this costly program, which can only weaken Medicare and Medicaid. Medicare on its own loses $1 billion dollars a week in fraud and financial trickery, as pointed out by the government itself.

Obamacare will increase its costs even more after a year, not including the expense of hiring more Big Government enforcers. Some 10,000 IRS agents will soon be hired for $500 million a year to police this program -- even after it’s recent scandal. Obamacare’s cost is now estimated to cost $2.6 trillion over the next 10 years, plus $400 billion in taxes to the American people working in businesses.

Huge overhauls are need to make changes in Obamacare before this program is totally in place. Changes are needed such as buying health care across state lines, reforming tort laws, smaller deductibles for the insured, and more access to doctors and hospitals.

We need to bring back entrepreneurial freedoms in our country not create huge government control of free Americans, moving toward a progressive socialist system affecting every person in America from the cradle to the grave. It’s a liberal’s dream come true! Speak up and speak out. We the people still have a voice in our freedom. Remember, freedom is not free.
