Letter: Town Meeting: 'Lone sheep against a pack of wolves'

(Continued)

That’s like giving your child a set allowance of cash but allowing them to use your credit card to buy whatever they want.

The fact that the voter turnout was so very low means that hardly anyone was there to object, just a few lone sheep to defend against a pack of wolves.

Our town has long had a unique form of government that gave everyone a say in what goes on. Centuries ago, our town government worked well for the people because the people showed up to vote. Today, with a 1 percent turnout, 99 percent of the people just don’t seem to care. We need to change this.
