Taken over
The TV has been taken over by the commercials. There are 13 to 15 commercials at a time before the next segment starts; and it seems like the commercials are longer than the segments. We must do something about it. I don't know who to go to or who to start with, but I would like to have some ideas. We must do something about it. They're taken over our TV. I just bought a new TV. There's no need to look at it because I've paid for ads.
Grant money
If Joe Solomon wants his job back, then the first thing he should do is pay back the grant money that he misused. Personally, the people of Methuen do not want him and I can't understand why he would want to be a chief in a place where he's not wanted.
High salaries
The Eagle-Tribune community handbook shows the Lawrence median income to be only $27,000 for residents. Shouldn't the median income for the officials who work in the town reflect the community they serve? Why is Bergeron being paid $175,000 as an interim superintendent? I don't understand why theses officials are being paid so much when the people in their city are only making $27,000 a year. That's part of the problem. People making $27,000 a year can't pay taxes to support a pay of $175,000 a year. It's crazy.
New era
The new football coach in Haverhill has renewed the program that probably would have been dead. All of the kids are happy, everything is positive. It's going to be a good season for the Hillies, with the new stadium and coaching staff. It's a new era in Hillies football.
Pay cuts
As a local Methuen businessman, I would like to see Joe Solomon gone and I would like to see pay cuts throughout the Police Department.
Slowing traffic
The people who are collecting money in Shawsheen Square are slowing the traffic down. People are taking two sets of lights to get through an intersection instead of one. I think someone should check into their credentials.
Get on the ball
I just attended the freshmen orientation for new students and parents at North Andover High School. It was one of the worst orientations I have ever been to. There was no air conditioning. The children were extremely hot to the point that they were sweating waiting to get to their next class. The auditorium was atrocious. What were they thinking? North Andover supposedly has all of this money and no one thought to turn the air conditioning on. I felt sorry for the staff and for the parents. North Andover needs to get on the ball.
No to Romney
Please, please, please, Dukakis and Romney could be brothers. They're both wolves in sheep's clothing. Massachusetts people have to get over the fact that Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts. Get him out. Do not vote him in for president. He is just as bad as Dukakis was.
Contractors
Why is it that every time I see a contractor for the Town of North Andover they have New Hampshire plates on their vehicles? Aren't there any qualified Massachusetts contractors that could help the Town of North Andover?
Tsongas
Tsongas was not elected to do what the Democratic Party wants her to do. She was elected to do what is right for the people in this country. She is an embarrassment.
