To the editor:
I ask the Methuen Rail Trail Association to reconsider paving over this wonderful walking path.
As an avid walker, I have walked paved sidewalks and streets, always looking for a place to get off them. This trail is easy on the joints and makes walking, away from having to dodge traffic, like going to a spa for a respite.
This is a trail not a highway. The expectation should be to walk on the ground. Would you pave the Appalachian Trail?
