To the editor:
I am responding to William Kelly’s letter of Aug. 13 that called state Rep. Diana DiZoglio a flip-flopper. I disagree on the issue of her voting to raise taxes.
DiZoglio did an excellent job presenting her case and came across professionally. She also did a good job explaining herself on the radio and in The Eagle-Tribune Aug. 7. Both on the radio and in the newspaper she answered all the questions asked of her thoroughly. She is against raising taxes and voted down voted down every bill before the last one.
DiZoglio hasn’t been treated fairly by the newspaper and she was unfairly criticized by the liberals and the conservatives. She is a hard-working, tireless person and works day and night helping her constituents. She is a very compassionate person and cares a lot about working-class families. She favors welfare reform, photo identification on EBT cards, tougher laws for sex offenders, is against giving free benefits to illegal immigrants and is pro-business. She also favors raising the minimum wage and is pro-union and pro-labor.
She is a moderate and I strongly agree with her most of the time. I strongly supported her and worked for her in the 2012 primary and general election and will do the same in 2014. She deserves a long career on Beacon Hill.
