Letter: A fine doctor will be missed

To the editor:

I just got back from Canada and heard of the passing of Dr. James E. Brackbill Jr. He will be missed dearly.

He was one of the greatest physicians of our time. Many people, patients and physicians, would also agree with me. You could always find a warm, friendly, caring person in him.

Dr. Brackbill saved my life. I had a ruptured appendix for nine days. He had me take an X-ray and operated on it right away. I did not know I had this serious problem. I had few symptoms. Dr. Brackbill also did life saving work on my mother. He saved a mother and a daughter's lives. These are two great stories.

I am sure there are many more to be told. Dr. Brackbill, you will surely be missed by all.

God bless you.
