Tell us: How is the economy affecting you?

As bad economic news continues to mount, some experts say we are either in a recession or hurtling toward one. For many people, it's a technical question, since they are cutting back on their budgets already due to high gasoline and home heating oil prices, crippling credit card debt, high mortgages and car payments, and the rising cost of all kinds of food and other necessities.

The Eagle-Tribune is looking for people who have come up with innovative solutions to their own economic situations. Have you lost a job and been forced to dip into savings, sell your home, take on tenants? Has the rising cost of living forced you to cut back on other expenses, such as vacations, new car purchases or home renovation projects?
