Manchester-Boston Regional Airport has promoted Thomas J. Malafronte to assistant airport director, air service development and marketing, and Michael A. Legere to airport operations superintendent.

Malafronte has served as manager of airport operations and facilities since 2001 and has held several other management positions since joining the airport in 1990. He received a bachelor of science degree from Daniel Webster College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Franklin Pierce College. He holds a private pilot's license and brings more than 20 years of aviation experience to this position.

In his new role, Malafronte will oversee air service development and retention activities, and will direct all airport advertising and marketing initiatives. He will also work closely with members of the aviation industry and the regional business community to identify and establish new aviation-related opportunities for Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

Legere has worked at the airport for 12 years and most recently served as assistant airport maintenance superintendent. He holds a bachelor of science degree from Bridgewater State College and is a private pilot.

In his new role, Legere will oversee airport operations and maintenance activities and will administer a number of airport training and development programs.

North Andover resident and 451 Marketing director of public relations Thomas Lee helped Boston Red Sox Gold Glove First Baseman Kevin Youkilis raise money for Christopher's Haven on Sunday, April 13, at Great Bay at Hotel Commonwealth in Boston. The event, hosted by Kevin Youkilis' charitable organization Hits For Kids, raised $57,000 to help furnish seven new Christopher's Haven Homes, apartments for children undergoing Proton-Beam Brain Cancer treatment at MassGeneral for Children in Boston. 451 Marketing is the official communications agency for Kevin Youkilis Hits For Kids.

Nancy LaRock, director of nursing at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley, was recently named Northeast Division Director of Nursing of the Year by Life Care Centers of America.

The award is given to the director of nursing who demonstrates outstanding qualities in several areas, including customer service ratings, staff development and successful state surveys.

LaRock received the award during Life Care's Directors of Nursing Annual Meeting at Life Care's corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Tenn. She was selected from all the directors of nursing in Life Care's Northeast Division, which encompasses 26 facilities in Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia.
