William Sherry of Windham, N.H., has been named director, New Hampshire government relations, by National Grid. Sherry's responsibilities include legislative and government affairs, regulatory relations, community and business activities for National Grid's electric and natural gas business in New Hampshire. Sherry has worked for National Grid and its predecessor companies for more than 25 years and in New Hampshire for more than 13 years.
Sherry was recently appointed by Governor Lynch to serve on the Governor's Climate Change Task Force.

Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services (MIHCS) has won national recognition for its commitment to the environment, taking home two awards from the Practice Greenhealth Environmental Excellence Summit held recently in Pittsburgh, Pa.
At the Environmental Excellence Summit, the organization received a Partner Recognition Award for its effort in creating a healthier environment — for patients, staff and the community, and for its role in pollution prevention efforts.
MIHCS was also recognized for the changes they've made to eliminate the use of mercury in their facilities and was presented with the Making Medicine Mercury-Free Award. This award recognizes facilities that have virtually eliminated mercury from their facilities and have demonstrated a commitment to continue to be mercury-free.
