A story in the Sunday Eagle-Tribune quoted Gloucester cardiologist Mario Motta as saying the Senate version of the health care cost bill went too far by banning pharmaceutical companies from giving drug samples to physicians. The Senate version includes a ban on gifts, but not drug samples. In the same story, Brian Rosman of the group Health Care for All was quoted as saying he was disappointed the gift ban would not be included in the final version of the bill. Rosman was talking about the House version, not the final version, which has not been decided.
