Jennifer M. Pacheco and Matthew R. Rooney

Jennifer Mary Pacheco and Matthew Richard Rooney were married on Aug. 2, 2008. The ceremony and reception were both held at the New York Botanical Garden in New York. The honorable James F. Rooney officiated the ceremony. The bride's father George gave his daughter in marriage.

Jennifer is the daughter of George and Linda Pacheco of Wolfeboro, N.H. Matthew is the son of James and Cathlyn Rooney of East Rockaway, N.Y.

The matron of honor was Sarah Newman of Forestdale, Mass. and maid of honor was Kate Simone of Newton, Mass. The bridesmaids were Rosaleen Clarke of New York, N.Y., Alyssa Dancey of Bridgewater, Mass., Jennifer Tolonen of Florida, Dina Villano of New York, N.Y., and Trisha Wilson of Belmont, Mass. The flower girls were Katherine Castle, Eliza Patton, and Nora Patton.

The best man was Peter Rooney of New York. The ushers were Christopher Rooney of Venezuela, James Rooney of New York, N.Y., Joshua Pacheco of Albany, N.Y., Michael Cuite, Daniel Gordon, Michael McDevitt, and Frank Pignataro, all of New York, N.Y. The ring bearer was Everett Pacheco, son of Joshua and Erin Pacheco of Albany.

Jennifer is a graduate of Methuen High School, Class of 1999. She received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Stonehill College in 2003 and a M.A. in Speech-Language from New York University in 2006. She works at Manhattan New School in Manhattan, N.Y. as a Speech-Pathologist.

Matthew is a graduate of Chaminade High School, Class of 1993. He received a B.S. in Information Systems and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1997. He works at Three Generations Contracting Corp. in Linden, N.J., as the Vice-President.

The couple honeymooned in Belize and the Florida Keys.

They reside in New York City.
