Dance raises funds for Crohn's and Colitis Foundation

Leukemia Cup Regatta benefits cancer research

NEWBURYPORT — The American Yacht Club in Newburyport will host its annual Leukemia Cup Regatta presented by Mount Gay Rum on Aug. 2 and 3. The two-day event consists of Saturday and Sunday sailing and a Saturday evening cocktail party and silent auction.

Blood drive to be held in Atkinson today

ATKINSON, N.H. — The American Red Cross will be at Palmer Gas-Ermer Oil Company, 13 Hall Farm Road, today from noon to 5 p.m. All donors will receive a free Red Sox T-shirt, a free gift certificate to Edible arrangements, gifts from Bean Towne Coffee House and one donor will win a $50 gift certificate to an area restaurant. Exercise program for people with arthritis

NORTH ANDOVER — The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, a free low-impact class designed for those with arthritis, is being offered to the public through a six-week course at Ashland Farm at North Andover, 700 Chickering Road. A kick-off event for the class will take place Thursday, July 31, at 9:30 a.m. The exercise sessions will run for one hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. beginning Aug. 5. Yoga retreat to be held at Rolling Ridge

NORTH ANDOVER — Drishti Yoga & Wellness of North Andover will host a Yoga and Wellness Retreat from Aug. 9 to 10 on the waterfront estate of Rolling Ridge Retreat Center. The retreat includes yoga classes, workshops on nutrition, wellness, and ayurveda, meals, overnight accommodations or day-only options, swimming, and time for relaxation.

Yard sale is fundraiser for Katydid Foundation

HAVERHILL — A two-day yard sale and raffle will be held tomorrow and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 19-21 Columbia Park. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Katydid Foundation Inc. of Newburyport and Haverhill, which supports housing options for adults with the neurological disorder.

Items available at the yard sale include furniture, air conditioners, a drafting bench, raised panel interior doors, dishes and glasses, clocks, telephones, lamps, a breadmaker, vacuum cleaners, jewelry, new clothing, accessories and handmade crafts. Raffle items were donated by a number of businesses.
