'Know the Score' health screenings
DERRY, N.H. — Parkland Medical Center helped set participants on the path to making a difference in their own health at a free diabetes and metabolism screening July 28 at the Diabetes and Metabolism Center in the Nutfield Building, 44 Birch St.
At the baseball-themed event, participants "ran the bases" and at each stop received personalized screenings and evaluations of their scores for cholesterol, blood glucose, bone density, body mass index, as well as their risk factors for diabetes and cardiac disease. Once completed, each score card was reviewed by Dr. Annaswamy Raji, director of the Center for Diabetes and Metabolism.
Parkland Medical Center will plan more screening events in the future. Call 603-421-3655 or visit www.parklandmedicalcenter.com.
