Catherine Hassett of North Andover was named to the dean's list at Fairfield University. Hassett is majoring in psychology. She is the daughter of John and Helen Hassett.

Keri LaBelle was named to the dean's list for the fall and spring semesters at Suffolk University in Boston in the biochemistry/forensic science program. She is a 2006 graduate of Methuen High School.



Michael Dobrinski II recently graduated from Concord High School, Concord, N.H. He will enter his freshman year at Iowa State University, to begin his education in aerospace engineering. Dobrinski spent last summer touring several countries in Europe, after he was selected by the People to People Student Ambassador Program. Dobrinski stayed with a host family in Germany. He also traveled to London, France, Switzerland and Amsterdam. He is the grandson of Rita Clarke of Methuen, and the son of Michael and Nancy Dobrinski of Concord, N.H.



Cassie Danahy was named to the dean's list for the fall and spring semesters at the University of New Hampshire. Danahy is majoring in nursing. She is a 2007 graduate of Methuen High School. She is the daughter of Shawn and Faith Danahy of Methuen.



Thomas Page of Andover was awarded a master's degree in accounting on May 17. He is employed as an accountant at Liberty Mutual in Boston.



Timothy Page of Andover was awarded a Ph.D in economics. Dr. Page has accepted a professorship at Florida International University in Miami.

Annelise Mesler of Andover High School; Brittany Forkus, Dan Higgins and Scott Yim of Methuen High School; and David Muchene of Lawrence High School participated in and successfully completed the yearlong TEAMS Academy — a Technology, Engineering, Math and Science Program. The high-schoolers studied subjects including environmental biotechnology, interactive robotics, engineering design, and technology and electronics. The hands-on courses were developed in collaboration with UMass Lowell professors and taught by faculty from area high schools.



Erin Coleman, Timothy Smith, and Ann Cashman of Andover were named to the spring semester dean's list at Georgetown University.

Sarah Hadjian of North Andover was named to the spring semester dean's list at Georgetown University.



Kory Madden of Methuen has been named to the president's list at Western New England College for the spring semester of 2008. Madden is a junior studying integrated liberal studies.



Lindsay Maguire, Teresa Demers, Christina Panagiotakos, Christopher Gagne, Nicholas DiZoglio, Quan Vu, and Keri Labelle of Methuen were named to the dean's list at Suffolk University in Boston for the spring semester of the 2007-2008 academic year.

Brian Gonzalez, Christine Hayes, Candy Rosario, and Andrew Rossi of Methuen have been accepted to the Presidential Scholars Program at Northern Essex Community College. Students are selected based on their high school academic record and recommendations from guidance counselors and teachers.



Kelsey Albert of North Andover has been named to the 2007-2008 dean's list at Union College. A 2007 graduate of North Andover High School, Albert is a member of the Class of 2011.

Dewin Hernandez, 17, vocalist, and Rocio Mejia, 18, voice, both of Lawrence,¬ were awarded full scholarships to attend Berklee College of Music in the fall. The scholarships were awarded during the annual Berklee City Music Blow-Out Concert at the Berklee Performance Center.



Rosemarie Webb of Andover was awarded a master of science in art education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.



Jessica Hitchins of Andover was awarded a bachelor of fine arts in photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.



Jhosmer Hernandez of Lawrence was awarded a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.



Ana Levy of Lawrence earned a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.

Air Force Airman Stephen Lebel has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. Airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Lebel is a 2007 graduate of the Greater Lawrence Technical School. He is the son of Kristine Williams of Methuen, and Robert Lebel of Lawrence.





Stephanie Hargadon of Andover was named to the 2007-2008 dean's list at Union College. Hargadon is a 2004 graduate of Andover High School.



Alex Novello of North Andover performed at Tanglewood in Lenox. As a member of the Young Artists Chorus of BUTI, Novello performed Honegger's "King David." He sang with the Treble Chorus of New England for nine years and is currently a member of the New England Conservatory Youth Chorale and

Camerata. Novello intends to pursue a career in vocal performance. He is the son of Alison and Peter Novello.



Christine Nigh of Andover was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Washington University. Nigh is a graduate of Andover High School. She is enrolled in the university's College of Art in the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts.



Alison Butler of Andover was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Washington University. Butler is a graduate of Andover High School. She is enrolled in the university's

College of Architecture in the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts.



Kristina Brown of North Andover was named to Cushing Academy's honor roll for the 2008 spring term. Brown also received a varsity letter as a member of Cushing's varsity Girls' Softball team. She is a member of the class of 2009.



Robert Phelps of North Andover graduated with honors from Cushing Academy. Phelps also received a varsity letter as a member of Cushing's Varsity Boys' Lacrosse team.



Leah Crabtree of North Andover graduated from Cushing Academy with high honors Saturday, May 24.



Melissa Vitale of Methuen was awarded an associate of applied science degree in criminal justice from Kaplan University. The commencement ceremony was held at the Chicago Symphony Theatre.



Antonina Caruso of Methuen was awarded an associate of applied science degree in paralegal studies from Kaplan University. Caruso received the degree during a commencement ceremony at the Chicago Symphony Theatre.



Arianne Schwartz of Methuen, recently took second place in the short argument/exposition category in Salem State College's First-Year Writing Competition. Schwartz's exposition was entitled "Loyalty and Betrayal: Redemption through Forgiveness." Schwartz is an education major at Salem State. She is the daughter of Arthur and Denise Schwartz.



Sean C. Wholley has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Middlesex Community

College. Wholley is pursuing a degree in fire science. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Wholley of Methuen.


