Lawrence Fire Lt. Dinatle pulls a main hose line away after disconnecting it from fire Engine 9 in order to move the fire engine out of harms way. A seven-alarm fire in Lawrence destroyed buildings on Springfield, Parker and Market streets leaving dozens of people homeless. At least 12 fire crews from surrounding communities into the city to help the Lawrence Fire Dept. battle the 2:30 a.m. massive fire.
