Sat, May 17 2008 LAWRENCE — Two apartments in the city were broken into Tuesday, netting thieves home electronics, jewelry, clothing and money, police said. The first burglary happened at 31 Easton St. A second-floor apartment was entered sometime after 10:30 a.m. and a 32-inch Sony plasma television, worth $2,000, and a DVD player were taken, the resident told police. The second break-in was at 7 Birch St. Residents reported many items missing, including 12 wristwatches, two computers, a digital camera, a gold necklace and money, police said. The following were taken from area police logs for Tuesday: Methuen Car crash: 246 Broadway, no injuries, 2:42 p.m. Car crash: 3 Swan Ave., hit-and-run, 3:44 p.m. Car crash: Miller and Milk streets, no injuries, 3:45 p.m. Theft: 97 Phillips St., license plate stolen, 9:42 p.m.
North Andover Car crash: Marblehead and Sutton streets, two cars, two people complaining of pain, no visible injuries, 5:40 a.m. Arrest: Adrian Doss, 21, Kittery, Maine, possession of marijuana, driving without a license, 660 Chickering Road, 9:21 a.m. Car crash: 940 Great Pond Road, no injuries, 2:10 p.m.
Andover Car crash: North Main Street, two cars, 10:01 a.m. Alarm: Penobscot Way, alarm sounding in the area, officer reports house is secure, 9:13 p.m.
Lawrence Car crash: Interstate 495 and Merrimack Street, no injuries, 4:33 a.m. Vandalism: Foster and Springfield streets, property damaged, 9:49 a.m. Arrest: Juan Gonzales, 26, 67 Dorchester St., shoplifting under $100, disguised with intent to hinder an officer, 73 Winthrop Ave., 10:30 a.m. Vandalism: 637 Howard St., property damaged, 12:03 p.m. Car crash: Lowell and Oxford streets, no injuries, 12:49 p.m. Vandalism: 136 Willow St., property damaged, 1:52 p.m. Arrest: James Iannazzo, 37, 101 S. Bowdoin St., shoplifting under $100, 700 Essex St., 2:06 p.m. Theft: 53 Juniper St., property taken, 2:18 p.m. Housebreak: 111 E. Haverhill St., 2:24 p.m. Arrest: Marshall Hubbard, 28, 30 Myrtle Court, assault, 73 Winthrop Ave., 3 p.m. Arrest: Lawrence girl, 13, assault and battery on a household member, Grove Street, 3:45 p.m. Vandalism: 8 Danforth St., property damaged, 4:29 p.m. Vandalism: 36 Hampton St., property damaged, 6:10 p.m.
