Lawrence man injured in Derry dirt bike crash dies

DERRY, N.H. -- A Lawrence man injured in a dirt bike accident on Sunday has died.
Jonathan Garcia, 21, died around 11:46 this morning, according to a Massachusetts General Hospital spokesperson. Garcia was riding on an abandoned rail bed known as Rockingham Trail shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday when he lost control of his Suzuki 125 and veered into the woods.
Garcia and the bike hurtled down an embankment, and he was found lying face down in nearby Ballard Pond. He was taken to Parkland Medical Center in Derry, and then flown to Massachusetts General Hospital by Medflight helicopter.
