May 13, 2008 05:55 am METHUEN — A 25-year-old Lawrence man was arrested and charged with attacking his former girlfriend when he went to her home early Sunday morning and found her with another man, police said. The victim called police about 3:37 a.m. to report someone breaking into her Lowell Street home. When officers arrived, they found three men sitting in a car nearby who said they had dropped off their friend, Jose Cutoen, to see his girlfriend and he found her at her home with another man. Officers then checked the house and found two broken windows. The victim told police that Cutoen, 66 Saunders St., Lawrence, had forced his way into her apartment and struck her several times in the face, police said. She described Cutoen and police found him at the intersection of Lowell and Grove streets, about 80 yards away. He was charged with assault and battery on a household member, breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor, and malicious destruction of property over $250.
