Tools stolen in Lawrence break

LAWRENCE — Thieves broke into a building under renovation and stole tools, police said.

Officer Michael Colantuoni was sent to 57 Jackson St. at 6:49 a.m. Monday, where he met employees from two companies who were working in the building.

One of the workers told him five Porter-Cable finish nail guns, a Porter-Cable compressor, a DeWalt electric drill, a DeWalt cordless drill, and a set of sawhorses were missing.

The second worker told Colantuoni the only tool he was missing was a 10-inch Bosch compound miter saw.

The men told Colantuoni a shopping cart that had been in the building also was missing.

Methuen

Break: 10 East Brook Place, work van broken into, 6:45 a.m.

Theft: 8 Ashton Place, property taken, 5 p.m.

Break: 35 Perley St., car broken into, 7:15 p.m.

Theft: 824 Riverside Drive, property taken, 9:24 p.m.

Theft: 50 Gaston St., tire taken, 11:35 p.m.

North Andover

Illegal dumping: 19 Pleasant St., trash left in front of neighbor's house, 8:59 a.m.

Theft: 490 Main St., backpack taken, 4:24 p.m.

Andover

Noise complaint: Central Street, landscaper using wood chipper before 7 a.m., officer reports they will stop, 6:42 a.m.

Car crash: River Road, two cars, no injuries, 8:28 p.m.

Lawrence

Arrest: Jesse Gil, 21, 5 Exchange St., malicious destruction of property over $250, Essex and Amesbury streets, 1 a.m.

Vandalism: 676 Essex St., property damaged, 4:19 a.m.

Break: 185 Arlington St., car broken into, 4:25 a.m.

Break: 57 Jackson St., building broken into, 6:49 a.m.

Vandalism: West Street, property damaged, 6:50 a.m.

Vandalism: Lowell and Margin streets, property damaged, 8:32 a.m.

Arrest: Manuel Eusebio Jr., 29, 57 Trenton St., assault and battery on a household member, 57 Trenton St., 8:40 a.m.

Arrest: A 16-year-old Lawrence boy, tagging, North Parish Road, 10:05 a.m.

Break: 71 Bennington St., car broken into, 11:48 a.m.

Car crash: 120 Broadway, no injuries, 11:57 a.m.

Break: 370 Broadway, car broken into, 3:04 p.m.

Arrest: Michelle Frias, 24, 83 West St., assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent to murder, 83 West St., 3:30 p.m.

Vandalism: 12 Willoughby St., property damaged, 4:38 p.m.

Arrest: Steven Viveiros, 51, 6 Essex Ave., disorderly conduct, threatening to commit a crime, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a vehicle, 20 Ballard Way, 5:30 p.m.

Arrest: Hector Martinez Jr., 20, 34 W. Dalton St., trespassing, assault and battery on a household member, 276 Andover St., 9 p.m.

Break: 78 Bromfield St., building broken into, 9:36 p.m.

Arrest: Dennis Colon, 18, 159 West St., breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, larceny under $250, 120 Cross St., 10:48 p.m.
