Racist pot smoker vandalizes convenience store

Staff report

METHUEN — You can call it the case of the racist stoner.

A vandal spray painted a swastika and the words "smoke treez" "smoke blunts" "get high" "wicked sait" and "whoop whoop" on the back of White Hen Pantry at 319 Merrimack St.

Police Officer Brian Hellman spotted the damage while patrolling the area at 1:49 a.m. yesterday.

He spoke to a store employee who said she was unaware of the graffiti, and she said she'd let the manager know, Hellman said in his report.

Hellman photographed the damage, which was done with blue spray paint. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time, Hellman's report said.
