June 12, 2008 12:06 am HAVERHILL — A city man ran a credit check on himself and discovered two credit cards in his name, which he did not know he had, police said. The man told Officer Meaghan Minion there was a Credit One Bank Card and a Tribute Credit Card, each with a $300 line of credit. Both credit card bills show a Boston billing address, and it appears the bills are being paid on time, police said. The credit card companies have two phone numbers for the person with the cards, one of which has been disconnected and the second one the victim recognized as his mother's cell phone number. The credit card companies have been notified and the cards have been canceled, police said. The victim told Minion he did not know of anyone who would steal his identity.
