NORTH ANDOVER — The circus is still coming, it's just setting up at a new location.

The Kelly Miller Circus is coming to Osgood Landing, 1600 Osgood St. (Route 125) and holding two shows tomorrow and Thursday at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., said Tom Ippolito, circus coordinator.

The circus was supposed to set up at the North Andover Middle School fields, but couldn't because of the ongoing rain, which has left very wet soil there.

Circus workers bring in heavy trailers, steel equipment and large animals, including elephants, and require solid ground for the event, Ippolito said.

Organizers were fortunate enough to find the new Osgood Landing venue, the former Lucent Technologies site, at the last minute, Ippolito said.

Tickets to the circus at $14 for adults and $7 for children. To usher in Independence Day, the circus has announced all active duty military personnel and their families will get into the circus free of charge.

The circus is sponsored by Wheelbrator Inc. and is the local Lions Club's biggest annual fundraiser.
