The Dallas Night celebration and family barbecue will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Andover/North Andover YMCA, 165 Haverhill St., Andover. Children of all ages can enjoy western line dancing, games and prizes, water balloon toss, family challenges, pony rides and country music. Also features a performance from the Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association Entertainer of the Year 'Angela West & Showdown.' The 20th annual Cycle For Shelter Bike-A-Thon to benefit Emmaus Inc. will take place at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. Cyclists choose from 26-, 62-, or 100-mile fully supported routes with points along the Merrimack River and New Hampshire seacoast and northern Essex County. There will be a delicious cookout, complimentary massages and shower facilities at the finish line. Check-in for the 100-mile is at 6 a.m., with opening ceremonies and start at 7 a.m.; check-in for the 62-mile is at 7 a.m., with opening ceremonies and start at 8 a.m.; check-in for the 27-mile is at 8:30 a.m., with opening ceremonies and start at 9 a.m. Emmaus counts on the money raised from Cycle for Shelter to provide life-saving services to homeless children and adults.
