Fatal crash jams commuter routes

NORTH ANDOVER — A motorcycle collided with a limousine at Routes 114 and 125 near the Royal Crest apartments this morning, killing one person and snarling rush hour traffic on both highways and on roads feeding into them.

The victim has been identified as William Leach, 43, of Methuen. There were no other injuries.

The driver of the limousine has not been identified, but police said he was a resident of East Bridgewater. A passenger from North Andover was in the limousine at the time of the incident.

No further details were immediately available.

Traffic was backed up on the busy commuter roads for hours after the 5:51 a.m. crash.
