GPS, iPod taken from unlocked car

HAVERHILL — Property was stolen from one unlocked car and two others on the small dead end street were rummaged through during the weekend, police said.

The owner of a 2006 Nissan Quest told police the vehicle was unlocked and parked at his home on Curtis Avenue, when it was entered late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

A Magellan Mistro GPS valued at $250, and an iPod Nano valued at $200 were taken, police said.

Two other cars were rummaged through and one resident told police his motion sensor light went off between 11:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. and he heard the dogs barking, police said.

The following were taken from the Haverhill police log for Sunday:

Noise complaint: 38 North St., loud music, 1:02 a.m.

Noise complaint: 2 Stelyani Drive, loud music, 1:06 a.m.

Arrest: Richard Paulino, 32, of 139 How St., disorderly conduct, Essex and High streets, 1:10 a.m.

Theft: 694 Hilldale Ave., car taken, 3:28 a.m.

Theft: 420 Washington St., car taken, 8:20 a.m.

Break: 52 Newcomb St., building broken into, 10:07 a.m.

Noise complaint: Barker Street, fireworks in the area, 8:37 p.m.

Noise complaint: 22 7th Ave., loud music, 3:50 a.m.
