ANDOVER — Police arrested a man they say drove around naked yesterday afternoon, jumping out of his car and exposing himself to startled pedestrians — one of them a 16-year-old girl.

Salvatore Ciarametaro, 37, allegedly told officers he undressed while in Harold Parker State Forest and decided to drive around the Route 125 area nude, according to police Lt. James Hashem.

Ciarametaro, of 68 Fernview Ave., Apt. 2, North Andover, is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior and concealing a license plate to hide his identity.

Police believe there could be as many as a half dozen victims.

A 16-year-old who encountered the man on Stinson Road, near Holt Road, called it in to police, providing his license plate number and a description of the man.

The victims later identified Ciarametaro, Hashem said.

Ciarametaro has a record of exposing himself, and admitted to police that he had a problem, according to police.

Ciarametaro was released on bail and was scheduled to be arraigned today in Lawrence District Court.
