PELHAM — Police will close five roads and designate six areas for parking for Saturday's annual Old Home Day celebration.
Beginning at 8 a.m., sections of Marsh Road, Old Bridge Street, Nashua Road, Windham Road and Main Street in the town center will be closed for the day's activities. A detour around the town center will be in place, which will be posted on local cable TV channels.
In addition, parking will be allowed on the eastbound side of Nashua Road, St. Patrick School and Church, Village Green/Pelham Library, Lyons Park, and all three public schools. Handicapped parking will be provided on Common Street only.
The traffic detour will end at 4 p.m. Saturday.
In the event of poor weather, the event will be postponed to Sept. 13.
