Meet Gus, a 9-year-old neutered male beagle. He is a very friendly, mellow, happy-go-lucky guy. He is quiet and does not bark. He is good with young children, loves going for walks, and is great at the dog park.
Gus is one of the many animals available for adoption at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals small animal shelter at 400 Broadway, Methuen. The shelter is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m. It is closed on Monday.
Update: Travis, the cat featured last week, is still available for adoption.
