DERRY — A pedestrian hit by a car on Pinkerton Street last night was flown to a Boston hospital for treatment.

A westbound 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Timothy Svenson, 22, of Plaistow struck the pedestrian shortly before 6 p.m. near the Energy Lane intersection, police said.

She was first taken to Parkland Medical Center and then flown by helicopter to Boston for treatment.

Police were withholding the pedestrian's identity until her family was notified.

A report released late last night did not indicate any charges were filed against Svenson of 54 Westville Road, Unit 12.

The crash's cause was still being investigated last night by the Derry police accident reconstruction team. Anyone with information is asked to call Derry police at 603-432-6111.
