'Ambien' vehicular manslaughter trial starts in Lowell

The trial of an Andover lawyer charged with hitting and killing a Methuen father while under the influence of Ambien sleeping pills got underway in Lowell Superior Court this week.

King Yong O, 35, of 26 Bundrett Ave., faces a mandatory year in jail if convicted of vehicular homicide. His trial opened Monday and closing arguments are expected either tomorrow or early next week, said Meredith Lerner, spokeswoman for Middlesex District Attorney Gerard Leone.Read this article in full with a
