SANDOWN — The Sandown Fire and Police Explorers will hold a fundraising spaghetti dinner Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors. Proceeds will benefit both Explorer programs.
Kingston firefighters collect toys
KINGSTON — The Kingston Fire Department has launched its annual Toy Drive.

Holiday Shopping Expo set in Kingston
KINGSTON — The Kingston Veteran's Club Auxiliary will sponsor its second annual Holiday Shopping Expo Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at 36 Church St.
The expo will feature representatives selling jewelry, makeup, kitchen products, food products, crafts and more.
Guests are welcome, but must be 21 or older.
Try some baked ham and beans for dinner
PLAISTOW — The St. Luke Parish Social Committee will hold a Ham and Bean Supper Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Holy Angels Parish Center on Depot Road.
The menu will include baked ham, beans, franks, salad, dessert and beverages.
The cost is $65 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under.
Proceeds will benefit St. Luke the Evangelist Parish.

HAMPSTEAD — Kindergartners through second-graders at Hampstead Academy will hold a Fall Food Drive Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the academy gymnasium, 320 East Road.

Workshop offers advice for life planning
PELHAM — St. Patrick Parish is hosting a life-planning seminar Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in the parish hall.
A panel will include a lawyer, funeral director, Medicaid planning consultant, hospice nurse, clergy and bereavement coordinator.
If you are a caregiver or are thinking about your own options, this is a chance to get some useful information.
The panel, "How to Get Your Affairs in Order," is free and open to the public.

Hear all about the traditions of quilts
PLAISTOW — Plaistow Public Library will present "American Quilt Traditions" Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Mary Nelson Room.
Cheryl Savageau, a textile artist and author, will present the talk. The event is free and open to the public. She will discuss quilts from Anglo, Amish, African-American and Native American, and "read" them for their cultural context and meaning. There will be refreshments and a discussion after her talk.
Take a chance on an autographed memorabilia
PLAISTOW — Students in the Hawaiian exchange program at Timberlane are selling raffle tickets for assigned sports memorabilia, including a baseball signed by David Ortiz, a framed picture signed by John Lester, and a mini football helmet signed by Tom Brady and Tedy Bruschi.

Santa arrives at the mall Saturday
SALEM — The Mall at Rockingham Park invites Salem area kids and their parents to celebrate the joys of the season with festive and fun activities at the Simon Kidgits Club Celebrate Santa's Arrival on Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m.
Parents are asked to enter through the mall entrance, by Ruby Tuesday. Kids can write a letter to Santa, make reindeer food, decorate a reindeer bucket, meet and greet Santa while listening to him at story time. Kidgits members will receive a free cookie plate while supplies last.
Plaistow Scouts collect food Saturday
PLAISTOW — Plaistow Scouts will collect nonperishable food donations for the local food pantry. Fill a bag with donations and leave it on the steps for Scouts to pick up Saturday. Bags should be placed outside 9 a.m.
