HAVERHILL — Police have charged four local men with trying to break into a vehicle parked at an apartment complex on Klondike Avenue.
Police said a resident of the complex, which is off Route 110 near the Methuen line, called the police station about 2 a.m. yesterday to say there were men in the parking lot. She told police a car alarm was tripped and that it frightened the men off.
The woman told police the men left in two vehicles, a blue Volvo station wagon and a red Saturn.
A police officer responded to the call and stopped the men on Lowell Avenue. After questioning the men, police arrested Luis Agosto, 17, 20 Smith St., Lawrence; William Sulliveras, 19, 104 Birchwood Road, Methuen; Joseph Tucker, 22, 202 Cypress Ave., Lawrence; and Ariel Pagan-Romero, 18, 118 Beacon Ave., Lawrence. Police charged the four men with attempted breaking and entering in the nighttime and possession of burglary tools.
