Environmental educator Christopher Swain will visit St. Joseph's School of All Saints Parish and Consentino Middle School on Friday — 13 days before hiking from Burlington, Vt., to Washington, D.C.

Swain will hike 775 miles with a 50-pound backpack filled with used electronics as a way to highlight the global threat of discarded TVs, computers, cell phones and other so-called "e-waste." He hopes to bring attention to the need for state and federal electronics recycling legislation. He will be at St. Joseph's from 8:25 a.m. to 9 a.m. and Consentino from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
