May 17, 2008 01:31 am HAVERHILL — A man sought by police for his role in Monday's home invasion and shooting of a man on Primrose Street surrendered at Haverhill District Court yesterday afternoon, police said. Officers were sent to arrest Hector "Edo" Colon, 23, of 5 4th Ave. at the courthouse and returned him to the police station to be booked. Officials said Colon would be sent to Middleton jail for the weekend and arraigned in Haverhill District Court on Monday on charges of home invasion, armed assault with intent to murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of possession of a firearm without a firearms identification card. Police said they have been searching for Colon and another unidentified man since they and three other men wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts, forced their way into the Primrose Street apartment of Gerald Boucher, 25, early Monday afternoon in search of money and cocaine. Police said their search of the home did not turn up drugs. During the home invasion, Boucher was pistol-whipped and shot in the foot before the five men fled, police said. Three of the men — Luis Torres, 23, of 3 Evergreen Drive, Bradford; Jason Perry, 19, of 41 McIntosh Road, Danville, N.H.; and Steven Listro Jr., 18, of 4 Birdsall Lane, Atkinson, N.H. — were captured during a manhunt in the Hilldale Avenue area by local and state police who used a police dog and helicopter. They were charged with home invasion, armed assault with intent to murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of possession of a firearm without a firearms identification card. All three were ordered held without bail pending a hearing to determine whether they pose a danger to the community and should remain jailed pending their trials. That hearing is Monday. Police said they recovered two handguns — a .22-caliber pistol and a .38-caliber revolver.
