GPS devices are stolen from three cars

HAVERHILL — A visitor from Colorado told police he had left accidentally his pickup truck unlocked for a few days while he visited on Garrison Avenue, and several items were stolen.

The man told police his 2003 Dodge Ram truck was entered and a Magellan 1340 Roadmate GPS valued at $150, and an iPod Nano valued at $150 were taken.

He told police the thefts could have occurred anytime late last week or over the weekend. He reported the thefts at 10:36 a.m. Monday, police said.

A man who lives on Old Ferry Road told police his unlocked 1999 Volkswagen was entered sometime Sunday night and a Garmin GPS device valued at $300 was taken from his glove compartment.

He reported the theft at 6:29 a.m. Monday, police said.

A woman who lives on Golden Hill Avenue told police she went out to her unlocked 2004 Kia Sorrento and discovered her Garmin Nuvi GPS device valued at $200 was missing from the center console. The theft was reported at 11:02 a.m. Monday, police said.



Burglary: 28 Gilbert Ave., 5:35 p.m.

Car crash: Groveland Street, 5:50 p.m.

Theft: 4 Grand Ave., 5:54 p.m.

Theft: 4 Tyler Ave., 6:03 p.m.

Vandalism: 12 Cornell Road, 6:05 p.m.

Arrest: Mauro Ferreiro, 39, 288 Primrose St., driving without a license, driving an uninspected vehicle, 7 Charles St., 6:24 p.m.

Disturbance: 219 Cedar St., 6:51 p.m.

Arrest: John Osborne, 17, 31 Woodcock Ave., assault with a dangerous weapon, threatening to commit a crime, witness intimidation, 31 Woodcock Ave., 7:05 p.m.

Disturbance: Boston Street, 10:56 p.m.
