Haverhill bakery worker's tire slashed, police say
HAVERHILL — An employee of Fantini Bakery told police that a fellow employee saw someone slash the right front tire of his 1997 Chevy S-10.
The incident occurred on Monday while the vehicle was parked at this well-known local business.
Police said the witness identified the suspect as a former employee of Fantini, who now works the night shift at the local convenience store. Police interviewed an employee of the store who said the man they were looking for worked the midnight shift. Police went to the suspect's home and told him he would be receiving a summons to appear in court on a charge of malicious destruction of property. Police said the suspect refused to talk about the incident when confronted.
