September 05, 2008 02:12 am HAVERHILL — Thieves carried a 60-inch JVC flat-screen television and a box of jewelry out of a New Street apartment while the tenant was at work, police said. The tenant told police she left for work at 7:30 a.m. Monday, and returned to her apartment Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. That's when she discovered the break and her television, valued at $1,700, and jewelry valued at $2,000 were missing. She told police the first floor of her building was unoccupied and the thieves apparently entered through a basement window. The break was reported at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
