Haverhill police log Cars damaged by vandals in Haverhill

HAVERHILL — Vandals cut a hole in the convertible top of a car parked on Arch Street, and tossed a rock through the rear window of a car parked on Race Street, police said.

An Arch Street resident told police he was borrowing his father's Saab convertible while his father was away, and that the top was damaged during the night.

He told police the car was parked in front of his house, and when he went out to it Wednesday morning he found an L-shaped cut in the top near the passenger door. The damage was reported at 10:58 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

The owner of a Toyota Camry told police the car was parked at her Race Street home and she awoke to find a rock had been thrown through the rear window. The damage was reported at 9:13 a.m. Wednesday.

Noise complaint: 143 Primrose St., 2:21 a.m.

Vandalism: 3 New Hampshire Ave., 10:32 a.m.

Arrest: Nicole Noltemy, 30, 39 Monterey Drive, Methuen, larceny by check over $250, uttering, 34 Rogers Road, 11 a.m.

Vandalism: 5 Overlook Ave., 12:15 p.m.

Car crash: 799 Amesbury Road, under investigation, 1:39 p.m.

Theft: 387 Main St., 4:21 p.m.

Noise complaint: 81 Franklin St., 6:56 p.m.

Theft: 52 Howard St., 7:03 p.m.

Car crash: River and Washington streets, under investigation, 7:16 p.m.

Loud music: 294 S. Main St., 9:16 p.m.

Arrest: William Lavalley, 32, 27 Arch St., threatening to commit a crime, malicious destruction of property over $250, assault with a dangerous weapon, Hewson Street, 9:30 p.m.
