Haverhill drug bust leads to arrest on Orchard Street
HAVERHILL — The police narcotics squad raided an Orchard Street home last night about 8 p.m., seizing 8 bags of cocaine and charging one of the occupants with dealing drugs.
Angel Cruz, 51, of 11 Orchard St., 2nd floor, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
The Narcotics Unit had obtained a search warrant from Haverhill District Court to assist the Street Crimes Unit as part of a month-long investigation that wrapped up last night with the raid and bust.
The cocaine weighed about 5 grams and was worth about $500, police said. Another $1,049 in cash was also seized.
Cruz will be arraigned today in Haverhill District Court.
