Worried about losing your house to foreclosure? A foreclosure prevention workshop will be held Wednesday, from 1 to 3 p.m., in Room 301 at City Hall.
Those who attend will receive free counseling on foreclosure prevention, how to avoid foreclosure scams, reducing credit debt, and managing finances.
Participants are advised to bring relevant paperwork so counselors can help them more effectively. The workshop is being provided by the Haverhill Community Development Department and the Home Preservation Center of Lowell.

Benefit concert for Jim Croteau and family
Pine Island Music, a Byfield music school run by E.J. Ouellette, is presenting a benefit concert on Friday, Nov. 21, called "Jammin' for Hope." The concert will feature two adult bands from Pine Island Music: Pine Island Soul and Shaky Ground.
The show starts at 7 p.m., at the AMVETS post, 576 Primrose St. Tickets are $10 each.
The event is to raise money for the Jim Croteau family of Haverhill. Croteau is struggling with a difficult battle against lung cancer. His cancer was in remission, but it came back, and he will now have to stay on chemotherapy for the rest of his life.
Pine Island Soul and Shaky Ground will entertain with classic rock, contemporary covers and original tunes. The musicians are adult students and former students of Ouellette.

All proceeds will go to the Croteau family.
Veterans job fair set today at NECC
The ValleyWorks Career Center is offering a Veterans Job Fair at Northern Essex Community College, starting at 8 a.m. today.
Sgt. 1st Class Dana Bowman, U.S. Army retired, a double amputee and motivational speaker, will tell his story at the beginning of the fair.
Bowman is a former member of the U.S. Army Special Forces and the Army's elite parachute team, the Golden Knights. He lost both legs in a parachute accident in 1994. His motto is, "It's not the disability, it's the ability."
Bowman will give his presentation at 8 a.m., in Lecture Hall A in the Spurk Building. The job fair will then continue from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the college's Technology Center.
Craft & gift faire Sunday at castle
Winnekenni Castle will offer a Holiday Craft & Gift Faire on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adult admission is $2 at the door. Door prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be available.

Bone marrow drive at All Saints Church
A bone marrow drive to help Nicole Rau will take place Sunday, from noon to 3 p.m., at All Saints Church, just off Broadway, a short distance from Lafayette Square.
Rau, 35, suffers from a very aggressive form of lymphoma. She has been in and out of the hospital since June.
She has a rare type of bone marrow and has yet to find a match. All it takes is a single swab of saliva to see if you can help.
Rau and her husband, Christopher, have a 2-year-old son, Jack.
