Susan Garofalo, second from left, a jewelry designer from Weston, Mass., brought an automated external defibrillator to Mary E. Fisk School in Salem Thursday as part of a campaign to put an AED in as many schools and community centers as possible. She raised money for the defibrillators through her jewelry sales at Salon Grazie of Salem, owned by Leslie Stratos, far left, of Danville. Fisk School nurse Cynthia Dimario, second from right, and Principal Susan Rhodes, far right, were on hand to receive the AED, which will be installed next to the school's main office.
